Not necessarily, if you purchase a number of items the total is rounded. For instance, if Oshkala had purchased five of the buck-twenty-six Euro items:
1.26 x 5 = € 6.30 There is no rounding.
Had he purchased three
1.26 x 3 = € 3.78, round to € 3.80, not € 3.75 or € 3.90, the only totals available if the single item is priced at 1.25 or 1.30.
They haven’t started rounding prices yet. Perhaps the law is too new.
Here in Canada the cent disappeared a few years ago now. Prices are still posted in cents but actual cents aren’t accepted by most retailers anymore. Change and prices are simply rounded up or down to the nearest 5 cents. The only place one can take them is to the bank now if one still has a hoard of them. They are still technically legal tender but for all practical purposes no. As time has gone on they are becoming less and less seen.
