NORTH PORT, Fla. — Florida cops investigating the mysterious disappearance of Long Island native Gabby Petito said Thursday they have no evidence that a crime was committed.

“Right now, we are investigating a missing person case,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said at a press conference.

Asked if there was any criminality, Garrison answered, “Not at this time.”

“At this time, it’s a missing person case,” he said.

He killed her. Why else would he need a lawyer?

Hopefully, this hasn’t escalated to the “Jessica Fletcher, Murder She Wrote” stage.

Maybe this’ll be solved while still in the Nancy Drew stage.

I’ll inform the police that you’ve solved the case.
Excellent job...

Why else would he need a lawyer?

Because legal systems today are comprised of Low IQ'ers. .

He killed her. Why else would he need a lawyer?

Because he's the prime suspect, it was a prudent thing to do.

I have mixed feelings here; of course he is the prime suspect and I agree he may have very well killed her.

OTOH, listening to her speak to the police and reading about her background, she seems like a real flake, a typical self-absorbed young girl who just may have just abandoned the guy.

That no one has heard from her recently is very alarming either way though.

They showed the police video of Gabby/Boyfriend..she had mental issues..maybe he just got sick of her BS, snapped and threw her off a cliff..either that or he got sick of her nonsense and left her behind and drove off, but doesn’t want to admit that he abandoned his fiance in the middle of no where

“an innocent man doent need a lawyer...”

Er, sorry but an innocent person needs one as much as a guilty person. You would be shocked to learn how DAs twist and pervert the most innocent statements to get convictions. Never talk to the police without a lawyer present.

Not saying this clown is innocent.

You’ve obviously not had a run in with police. You NEVER speak with a cop without a lawyer present. A cop is not your friend period. I guess the 6th amendment means little to you.

Just like with Natalie Holloway, no body, no case..that is why he needs a lawyer..he keeps his trap shut and he never has to say a word, they can’t charge him with keeping his trap shut

They know it too, they just have nothing but circumstantial evidence.

Well, this looks very odd.

A couple goes on a road trip, and he returns home, and she doesn’t . And he has nothing to say about what the heck happened to her?

If you were with someone on vacation and she disappeared, would you behave in this manner, just return home as if nothing were amiss????

Everyone deserves a day in court, if it comes to that. But I think we would all agree, this is bizarre. They went on vacation together, she has disappeared, and he didn’t file a missing person report himself at the time? He just came home as if everything were normal?

Granted we don’t know all the facts yet.

Yeah. She seems gorgeous and cheerful in her photos and travel videos, but the video of that traffic stop indicates she has plenty of issues. I HOPE she just ditched the guy and is laying low, unaware that the world is looking for her.
