Just curious: How many people do you think know that the (excellent) little-kids' book Little Black Sambo is about a little boy in the jungles of . . . India?
Speaking of which, how many wokesters offended by the book or its name are even aware that there are no tigers in Africa?
I'm guessing about 0.00 East Indians in America are offended by it--since little Sambo is the hero of the story anyway.
I used to eat Sambos. Pancakes!
Even in the old Sambos restaurant the character was clearly from India. I remember from my childhood like it was yesterday, in Sambos restaurants in San Diego and Santa Barbara, the murals on the walls that encircled the dining area related the story. Yup, a tiger and an Indian kid with a turban.
Other than being called black there is nothing to consider racist in that book. On the contrary, he's clever and generous. How is that racist?
