Some people may recall I said in the other thread about the Petito case that this guy might be involved in the Moab murders but then it was pointed out that the local police had dismissed the possible connection (somebody suggested it was to throw him off rather than to convey an actual lack of interest).
Now this. By the way, the reporter means he (Laundrie) was staying near the tavern where those women were last seen in downtown Moab, not in a motel near the campsite (this is not clear but I know my way around Moab having been there a number of times).
I would also point out details from some other discussion about the Wyoming sightings and how somebody in a sports bar said Laundrie had butted into their conversation with some pointed and aggressive remarks (so he might have done that in Moab also).
Just seems unlikely to me that two different psychopaths would be killing women at campgrounds related to one place, when there’s the alternate possibility of all three crimes being related (and you can imagine how the first one might feed into the second one, if Gabby Petito had any suspicions).
Sad business in general. They need to find this guy before he does another meaningless crime.
