There doesn't appear to be any news that he had a cast. Achilles injury on Sept 8th, then surgery 3 weeks later. [1]
It looks like he's conflating what actually happened to him, with something that could have happened to him (if he were in a cast).
It was the vax.
It is interesting watching people struggle with it.

All patients were available for follow-up at 2 and 8 weeks. At 1 year, 5 patients were lost to follow-up in the ECM group and 3 in the IM group, leaving 63 and 59 patients, respectively (Figure 2). In total, 62 of 130 patients (47.7%) developed DVT, but only 3 patients (3/130; 2.3%) developed above-knee DVT and only 1 patient presented with clinical symptoms of DVT. No patient developed symptomatic pulmonary embolism or other severe complications of DVT.
Regarding DVT + heart attack:
DVT does not cause heart attack or stroke. There are two main types of blood clots. How a clot affects the body depends on the type and location of the clot:
- A blood clot in a deep vein of the leg, pelvis, and sometimes arm, is called deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This type of blood clot does not cause heart attack or stroke.
- A blood clot in an artery, usually in the heart or brain, is called arterial thrombosis. This type of blood clot can cause heart attack or stroke.
Both types of clots can cause serious health problems, but the causes and steps you can take to protect yourself are different.

Hell why not many seem to think that way. I got my 2nd shot
in Feb and haven’t had a problem since. Now I’m old enough
fall over dead I’d guess but hell I’m getting the flu shot come
Saturday. I haven’t gotten the booster for covid and most likely
won’t. I was at my Dr’s Office a couple of weeks ago and he
wasn’t promoting the booster anyway.
This guy is a total jerk, with a capital J E R K !

I am saddened how much the vaccine debate here has really divided FR. Been here over twenty years and haven’t seen such divisiveness. It almost seems like some people here hope the vaccine kills a majority of recipients just to prove a point. My oldest daughter got the Pfizer. My youngest (14) currently has Covid and I got my first Pfizer the day before she showed symptoms. None for me yet. I have been on the Vitamins C and D, zinc, quercetin, famotidine, and melatonin for over a month. Maybe that’s why? Who knows. I am a scientist, but no virologist or microbiologist. A vaccine should be a personal decision and I trust my doctor. I have comorbidities. That’s just life for ya. I oppose mandates both governmental and corporate. I think the fear messaging and threats are hardening hearts here where we are yet being divided again, even on our own side of Conservatism. This is what I believe is the design. And it’s working…
