NORTH PORT, Fla. (NewsNation Now) — Brian Laundrie’s sister, Cassie Laundrie, may have seen her brother in the days following his return to Florida without Gabby Petito, despite her previous comments.
Cassie Laundrie said last month she had not spoken to her brother since he returned to Florida without Petito on Sept. 1.
Gabby Petito case: Timeline of road trip with boyfriend, tragic end “I haven’t been able to talk to him,” Laundrie told ABC News last month. “I wish I could talk to him.”
However, NewsNationNow.com reporter Brian Entin exclusively confirmed that Cassie Laundrie may have been at the Fort De Soto campground at the same time the rest of the family in early September.
“To my knowledge, Cassie went for a day,” Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino confirmed to Entin.
When Bertolino was asked whether Cassie Laundrie was at the campground at the same time as her brother, he responded, “idk” meaning “I don’t know.”

NEW: “To my knowledge Cassie went for a day.”
Laundrie family attorney says Brian’s sister Cassie was at the campground last month – despite Cassie saying in an earlier interview she hasn’t spoken to Brian since he returned to Florida.https://t.co/cpppsasboO— Brian Entin (@BrianEntin) October 1, 2021
The whole Laundrie family is about to be in jail once #BrianLaundrie is found including his sister. #GabbyPetitoCase— RSmith313 (@ryansmith1984) October 1, 2021
So Brian Laundrie’s sister is also a liar #NotSurprised https://t.co/I8hZGpyLkt— Jimmy Fish (@SportsRhetorik) October 1, 2021
You had your chance to talk. My guess is, the perp is hiding in the lawyer's basement or vacation property.
Where does Cassie live? Anybody know?
If true, he won’t be a lawyer for much longer.................
about 35 miles north of her parents’ home in North Port
Ha! Hadn't thought of that!
Thanks. Do you know the town?
Not sure exactly what it means, except that the FBI is several steps behind the Laundries, a couple steps behind the Twitter sleuths, and maybe even a step behind Dog the Bounty Hunter.
That had to be one strange camping trip.
No.
But For Desoto may be where the entire family got together to get on the same page to agree to not answer anyone’s phone calls or cooperate with law enforcement...
“Petito said his family began worrying after several days without hearing from their daughter.
“We called Brian, we called the mom, we called the dad, we called the sister, we called every number that we could find,” Petito said. “No phone calls were picked up, no text messages were returned.””
I’m wondering if the parents had a boat meet them at the park to squire the boy away, possibly to Mexico or a Central American country like Belize.
This gathering has the suspicious hallmarks of a family farewell...
Lakewood Ranch, FL
Sarasota is ~35 miles N of North Port.
Excellent—thank you!
I’ll bet Brian Laundrie hung himself HIGH UP IN A TREE and might never be found.
People keep saying accessory and obstruction. They obviously don’t understand how those charges work. The fam got together before formal charges were filed. He has still only been charged with ATM fraud and that was after they split up. Only after that charge was filed can material evidence be used to prove aiding and abetting. They could have given him ten grand in cash and drive him to a border all before charges filed and the feds could jack sh1t about it. If they were smart they would have taken him to the Texas border and said get to Mexico City post haste then to Russia,Bolivia,Vietnam or Ukraine none of those countries will even look for an American let alone send one back for fedgov. There’s flights direct to Russia and Bolivia from Mexico City once on board and in international airspace the plane won’t turn back past the half way point you are then homefree.
sarasota to cancun is 521 miles.
a glacier bay catamaran range with no external fuel tanks is 350 miles at 30 mph. an additional 200 gallons of gasoline, or 80 5 gallon jerry cans would be needed to get to cancun. 17 hours one way.
more inconvenient than cancun to get to bolivia, but merida might be a relatively good place to lay low. it is not much of a tourist town that i am aware of, but easily large enough to get lost in, if one has some money and some help.
"Dog The Bounty Hunter" is barking up the wrong tree!
No lawyer would be that stupid. They could not pay him enough money to get him to commit a felony like harboring a fugitive. Even the book deal wouldn’t pay enough to keep him from getting shanked in prison.
It was a joke. But no lawyer? Not even in Florida? :^D
