Nice work, he waited until the barrel was angled away t o the right of his left shoulder, and went in with an under the barrel grab and rolled the pistol up and out of the perps hand. Luckily it did not discharge, but if it did, the round would have went up into the ceiling.

Some things are fun to watch on a loop. The criminal would’ve had to go in shooting in order to avoid the Marine’s swift reaction.

Watching the YT video, at 0:13, the Marine clearly has his left hand on the robber’s right upper arm, pushing the arm away, but does not have his hand on the robber’s gun. Then the Marine leans in with his punch with the Marine’s right hand and the bad he was holding, and the robber falls back ward to the ground, and the video stops. I suspect that at that point, the Marine lands on top of the robbers arm with the Marine’s knees, and then takes the weapon from the robber.
