It was her sole job to make sure the guns were appropriate at all times.
Hang her.
For sure.
Same for the AD.
Same for Baldwin.
But the fact remains that someone loaded a live round into the chamber. You simply can’t mistake a blank for a live round. Maybe they were using dummy rounds, but even so a dummy round has a bb where the powder would be, so all you have to do is shake it, and you can tell the difference.
Something’s fishy.
[[I would like to hear an explanation about why they even had live ammo anywhere near the movie set in those prop guns]]
that is the $64,000 question- Were union peeps upset that scabs were o n the set instead of them? Did someone think it woudl be funny? Or have something against someone?
There is an audio of the 911 call, which ‘sounds like’ Alec (Not sure it is- but it looked like what he woudl say and how he’d say it knowing his hot headed vocabulary)- loaded with F’Bombs- immediately blaming the crew for what happened-
And supposedly Camera crews walked off set because of ‘safety concerns’ before the incident
Agreed. Something is VERY fishy here.
Yes. And the propmaster, or whoever is responsible for firearms on a set, has the responsibility to educate the actors and crew involved. They likely know nothing about it.
[[Why would he point the gun at a none actor or some one not acting or participating in the movie,]]
The scene ‘could have’ called for pointing the gun at the camera- However- there are ways to do that so the camera person is to endangered from what i understand- There is a strict procedure for doing it apparently-
>> Utter incompetence.
Or psychotic.
The movie was being made on the cheap according to a number of articles. They cut corners and there was reportedly a misfire on the set prior to the walkout. I see a major lawsuit. The family is flying in from Russia and demanding someone be held accountable. For a live round to be on the set, somebody violated safety protocols. But whose job was it to make sure those protocols are adhered to? Of course with the state of reporting these days, who knows what to believe.
Yes. Why was Baldwin pointing a gun and shooting at two non actors during a rehearsal?
Forget live rounds or blanks for a second and who was responsible. Why was he shooting the gun at crew members?
Is there, and can you tell the difference between the muzzle flash of blank and real rounds?
Even if the scene called for the gun to be pointed at the camera, the camera operator doesn’t have to be behind the camera (they use monitors rather than look through the eyepiece, and there are remote controllers than can control the camera).
Baldwin is an idiot, and the armorer will likely be arrested and charged with murder.
“This [Unintelligible] f-ing yelled at me at lunch asking about revisions. This mother f–cker [unintelligible]. Did you see [unintelligible] and yell at me? He’s supposed to check the guns. He’s responsible for what happened.”
Okay, I have to ask - why are live rounds allowed on a movie set at all?
True- Thanks for pointing that out- I always wonder though about scenes with massive gunfire in them- people ‘shooting’ every which way on the sets- like say in John Wick movie- how they keep everything safe-
interesting note- Keanu Reeves is a real life quick draw- sure shot- He’s got some pretty wicked videos on youtube- He’s the real deal-
One article did say that normally when they filmed that scene they would set up the cameras and the director and cinematographer would go to a safe location before the gun firing part of the scene.
Disgruntled crew that walked off and replaced with non union locals maybe trying to sabatoge the filming? Anything’s possible these days it seems.
yup exactly- there’s a lot of mis steps that took place- - se my post #73 for the onset rules for prop guns apparently-
Elsewhere in the article, her name is reported as Hanna Gutierrez-Reed.
So perhaps Gutierrez is her husband's name? She doesn't look Hispanic.
I honestly thought real guns were never used on a movie/tv set for this very reason.
