The armorer and assistant director who handed off a fatal prop gun to Alec Baldwin have been identified, after it was revealed that some crew members walked off the set of the movie Rust over safety concerns before the tragic shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
A search warrant released Friday said that armorer Hanna Gutierrez laid out three prop guns on a cart outside the filming location, and assistant director Dave Halls grabbed the gun from the cart and brought it inside to Baldwin, unaware that it was loaded with live rounds.

Ever since “Sniper 2” I’ve taken movie armorers with a big grain of salt.
Having loaded both blanks and live cartridges in single action revolvers, I can’t understand how a mistake like this was made. Looking at the cartridges, you can readily tell the the difference.
I would like to hear an explanation about why they even had live ammo anywhere near the movie set in those prop guns
I got a couple of questions. Why was there life ammo around in the first place? What would they need life ammo for on the movie set in the first place?
Why would he point the gun at a none actor or some one not acting or participating in the movie, in this case the Cinematographer, was he just clowning around, on top of it pulling he trigger.
And by the way I have nothin against guns as I possess several.

I have done that too, with paper wads in cap and ball revolvers for blanks. You know when you’re loading a round ball into the chamber on top of the powder.
More gifts that keep on giving from south of the border. In a few more years they will be the only ones “graduating” from medical school as our new crop of neurosurgeons. Don’t plan on having any more severe headaches if you know what’s good for you.

And Arec was too stupid to inspect it himself?
Never accept a firearm (of any type) from anyone unless the action is open.
Not saying she isn’t wrong, but it sounds like they have a patsy.
