A 29-year-old man accused of trying to strangle an 11-year-old girl in a Manhattan park was arraigned and released on $7,500 bail on Saturday night.
Nathaniel Direnzo, of Saint Marks Place, was arrested on Saturday morning for a bizarre, broad-daylight attack on the young girl and another minor on Wednesday afternoon.

I’m from upstate and I remember during my first trip to Ed Koch’s NYC, as a young teen in the 1980s, I saw a man with his pants down masturbating on a busy street near Penn Station.
Seems like NYC has always been a shining beacon for psychopaths.

This is just part of the Cuomo legacy and the result of Democratic rule. They also closed the Indian Point nuclear power plant. There are energy shortages as well as violent criminals released shortly after arrests. Most are not even arrested. Urban America is unlivable. What decent, rational person would voluntarily live or locate a business in Democratic ruled cities?
$7,500 bail? And if the perp was working with a bail bondsman, he’d only have to come up with $700 or so.
Anyway, had some adult intervened and given that guy a serious attitude adjustment, that Good Samaritan would probably still be sitting in jail.

The school kids were throwing fire crackers scaring the dogs and they wouldn’t stop when the dog owners asked them to.
And the hundreds of people who tried to walk into the Capital on Jan 6 who are STILL IN PRISON....?????

Mentally ill people are the Left’s army. This should be abundantly evident to everyone who has even the remnant of a rational mind these days.
Here’s how the Left built this branch of its army:
* In the 1950s/60s started to demonize charitable institutions who supervise mentally ill folks whose families can’t care for them. “Supervision of the insane should be a State function; look at these charities! They are incompetent and a blight on the community! Those poor sick people have done nothing wrong and are being victimized -” (et cetera)
* State takes over “mental health” in the 1960s/70s. Extra funding enables doctors in state-run mental health facilities to perform such experiments as the lobotomy clinic where patients in dentist chairs receive lobotomies as though on an assembly line.
* Socialist Democrats pass laws regarding the inhumanity of keeping people who are simply mentally ill (and therefore incapable of committing crimes), so that they will not be incarcerated just for standing on a street corner babbling about how they want to kill people or something minor like that.
* Families unable to care for their mentally ill family members can no longer access any sort of treatment or at least secure supervision for same, and so are forced to care for them at home or turn them loose on the larger community.
* More State funding for the mentally ill, now for outpatient clinics and treatment centers. And “SSDI” which plunders the Social Security of taxpaying citizens who have little to no need for mental health services to help severely mentally ill people find apartments and jobs and so on.
* More State funding to promote a “path toward wellness” by providing vocational training and housing for the chronically mentally ill. (For which, if a church set up a work farm like that, they would likely face severe penalties.)
* Result: Chronically mentally ill people cruising around your hood at all hours of the night and day. Syringes littering the bus stop where you have to wait for the bus every morning to go to your job. That you’re taxed for. People having screaming fits in the street.

Yep. He was in a dog park with other people and pooches and a group of feral yutes were throwing dirt, rocks, etc. at the dogs and their owners. This guy made the mistake of trying to dissuade them.
