After the Atlanta Braves had the 2021 MLB All-Star Game moved out of their park due to a slate of restrictive voting laws in Georgia, it turns out that baseball's biggest event, the World Series, might end up in their backyard instead.
The Braves defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4, on Tuesday to advance to the National League Championship Series (NLCS), where they'll face either the San Fransisco Giants or Los Angeles Dodgers.
The winner of the NLCS will then advance to the World Series to play the champion of the American League, either the Boston Red Sox or Houston Astros.
So, while Major League Baseball (MLB) shipped this years' All-Star Game and its surrounding events like the Home Run Derby out of Georgia, there is a chance that the World Series, the pinnacle of professional baseball, could end up in Atlanta after all.

Ironic that Hank Aaron died from the vax and his number is on the field.
As if they need that lib rag’s permission
Ping!
Yep! Take that, MLB!
Between refusing to replace their politically incorrect mascot and rubbing the All-Star game move in the face of MLB, I'll have to root for them.
I hope ATL has a great Championship series!
This is perfect. Instead of a team in the west coast's largest baseball market (L.A. Dodgers) and a team in one of the east coast's largest baseball markets (Boston Red Sox) in the World Series, MLB gets treated to the Atlanta Braves vs the Houston Astros.
The Atlanta Braves bring with them their PR nightmare regarding this year's all-star game, plus their team name (Braves) and the actions of their fans (Tomahawk Chop).
The Houston Astros bring with them the PR nightmare of illegally stealing signs a couple of years ago, which was implied again in this year's playoff series with the Chicago White Sox. Plus they are a Texas team, another ding in the eyes of the country's woke.
This has all the makings of a ratings debacle.
Sucks to be you MLB.
No one cares
They also didn’t kowtow to the PC police regarding “the Chop” (its offensive to native Americans they said) or changing their name. MLB tried to push “for the A” which never caught on, the fans chopped more than ever and the players do it when they get a hit.
Having said all that, I know they are the underdog in the WS, I am just glad they are made it and all the woke people it ticks off 😂
I’m surprised you even clicked on this thread with that response.
I didn’t realized that I should have been rooting for the Braves just for the illustration of Liberal’s shear hypocrisy!
I hope Atlanta crushes those cheaters.
Just ask people, “So, Are the Braves playing their World Series home games in Denver?”
Babylon Bee! Please pick up the White Courtesy telephone....

You sound like a disgruntled snowflake/northerner. Or, Californian.

The Astros ARE the "Donald Trump" of baseball, and only did what the Yankees, Dodgers, etc. did that season.
The only crime was not being the Yankees or Dodgers, and that is why they were punished.
MLB's discrimination against the modern Astros started in 2013 when they were forced to move from the NL to the AL, and they have been unjustly accused of other forms of cheating such a using illegal substances on the ball to aid with pitching which was actually started by the Angels.
The findings of the investigation of the Yankees sign stealing in 2017 is still sealed, while the current commissioner of the league is a self admitted Yankee's fan.
As with the Feral Government™, there is a two-tiered justice system within MLB which makes sense since it gets a special exemption from anti-monopoly laws by the government.
Full disclosure: I am a fan of the Houston Astros, and Donald Trump.
I hope Atlanta crushes those cheaters.
Yeah?
Well, the Astros crushed that cheater, Cora.
Where’s Beltran? Any sign of that cheater?
Ditto.
