Too soon?
Alec would post this and worse about Trump.
Remember how kind he was towards Trump and Trump voters?

He is a top tier A-HOLE and deserves no mercy.

I’d rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than make a movie with Alec Baldwin.

He knows he’s in trouble, that is why he’s been visiting the family of Hutchins, to get on their good side so no charges will be filed. He thinks by kissing their rear he will be in the clear..ya think he cares that he killed this woman, I doubt it..he’s a narcissistic prick

Baldwin was the producer, a position of responsibility and management. He’s had plenty of experience on sets where guns have been handled responsibly. He knows how guns are handled in a typical filming. He, among others allowed orthodox safety rules to be violated. He himself violated all firearm safety rules, AND SQUEEZED THE TRIGGER WHILE POINTING AT SOMEONE. His cavalier attitude and disregard for the safety of his crew allowed this to happen. He wanted to save a buck and hire an inexperienced armorer. Now he has a dead staff member as a result.

Baldwin, the blood is mostly on his hands. An arrogant, prideful, conservative loathing buffoon has killed someone. But I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if it didnt bother him in the least....because it was someone elses fault.

You are defending a very bad actor

"calling Baldwin’s deadly mistake “poetic justice” for his previous criticism of Donald Trump.

She did NOT call it "poetic justice".

She said it "would be" poetic justice if it weren’t for the actual innocent people that were killed.

Unfortunately; most people will simply take the purposely inaccurate paraphrasing by the media as gospel.

And how long did Baldwin wait to tweet ‘how does it feel to accidental murder someone’. How long does the left wait to loot, and riot after a death. Nahh- they are big boys and girls. As the saying goes- If they can dish it out...

How about this. If you’re a millionaire from making films, quite often films in which you work with real guns, is it really so hard to learn a thing or two about guns?

If you are also anti-gun and say guns kill too many people, would you not desire to learn gun safety since you’re handling them as part of your career?

Further, if you’re a producer, should you not know and adhere to industry standards when it comes to safety?

Granted, there were multiple points of failure but he was two of those.

Producer? Run a tight/safe production instead of having Union crew member walk off the set due to safety concerns.

Actor with gun in hand and the one to pull the trigger? Learn about what you’re doing.

Armorer setting out a tray of guns for the assistant director to choose from? Know your job. From what I understand, she should have been the one handing Baldwin the gun. She and the actor that uses the gun should be the only two touching it. The rest of the time, they should be locked up.

Assistant director handing a gun to someone and declaring Cold Gun? Better really trust that young armorer or learn a little something about guns.

The production was cutting corners and was also unprofessional.

If I hired a dipstick girl as an armorer and then shot someone due to neither I or the dipstick properly checking the gun, I would consider it my fault.

I know literally nothing about how films are made. But I do know that "firearms" are featured in many, many films. I don't know how "prop" guns work or how Hollywood manages to make scenes with authentic looking gunfire where nobody actually gets hurt, but they do.

But it seems to me that if there's true negligence involved here...which seems highly likely...the person in charge of "props" would be to blame.

For example,in medicine physicians, nurses and others routinely depend on the skills, judgment and attention to detail,of others.I've seen it many times while working in a big city ER. During a code a physician might ask a nurse for 5cc of atropine to be administered to the patient urgently. The nurse hands him a syringe and it turns out that it contains 5cc of fentanyl instead.

The patient expires a few moments later.

Who's at fault...morally,I mean?

... He’s in a heap of trouble, that’s for sure.

I imagine his production company's liability and umbrella insurance rates will shoot up beyond feasibility.

Had a white police officer or conservative done this he would already be in jail and charged with murder. Our “justice” system is now governed by double standards.

The medical analogy was presented to me today. The thing is: the Doc would check the dosage if it was visible, but couldn't tell the substance by looking. Baldwin could easily have checked out the gun.

Still, I do think this is analogous to the Dick Cheney shooting.

Perhaps if Alec Baldwin had passed a hunter's safety course like I did in Montana when I was 11 years old he might have not shot somebody dead.

A year ago I was up in Wyoming and we all got together to skeet shoot on land my sister’s brother-in-law owns. I had not shot a shotgun in over 20 years so I made sure to ask two experienced skeet shooters there to instruct me on proper techniques for shotgun safety and then to keep the stink-eye on me for a bit.

The end result was I didn't shoot anyone.

Absolutely unintentional homicide.

I don’t see giving him a pass.

He pointed a gun at someone and pulled the trigger.

He was wrong on so many levels.
