The unidentified object dropped down from above and matched their altitude before flying alongside the airplane for around 30 minutes.
While the pilots have not been named, one was understood to be a career pilot with 19 years' experience while the second was a veteran fighter pilot who had previously flown F-15's.
They have been described as "competent airmen, highly experienced with observing and identifying aircraft, and are capable of determining normal observations and incidents from unusual ones."
According to the report by the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP), the plane had departed Queretaro International Airport and was on its way to Memphis, Tennessee when the sighting occurred.
The First Officer had initially believed the object to be a meteor until it matched the plane's speed and altitude, indicating that it was under some sort of intelligent control.

They suddenly misidentified something they’ve seen every night they’ve flown for years. Alrighty then.
I see we have no shortage of people who weren’t there but know what the “object” is and isn’t.
I’ll stick with “I have no clue what that is.”
My guess is porch pirate teens stole the FedEx packages from the space aliens and they were hoping the pilots were going to lead them to the culprits.
There have been nights where the Moon followed me relentlessly, no matter how fast I ran. It didn’t give up until I got indoors.
The pulsating could just be the camera (cell phone?) just trying to auto refocus as well. Lots of possible explanations, over Mexico could be a shadow pilot running drugs, etc. The pilot’s juvenile behavior doesn’t help lend credibility to the witness, either. Pass.
Flying through star-gates is a tricky business, especially if you went Woke and used “diversity” as your hiring criteria!
They were waiting for a package too?
