The Detroit Metro Times reported:
All 12 federally recognized tribes in Michigan sent a letter to President Joe Biden and his administration Friday, urging him to lend strong support to the state's effort to shut down the controversial, 78-year-old Line 5 oil pipeline owned by Canadian company Enbridge.
"The Governor, the Attorney General, and our Tribal Nations need your Administration's help," the letter reads. "… During your campaign, you promised that you would heed our concerns and act to protect our fundamental interests. We view Line 5 as an existential threat to our treaty-protected rights, resources, and fundamental way of life as Anishinaabe people of the Great Lakes." Republican lawmakers, meanwhile, expressed alarm over the possibility of the pipeline shutting down.

This is not something just to bitch about. Steps need to be taken to make sure this does NOT happen. Shutting down this pipeline - especially during this weather period - will get people killed. Not just Michigan, but surrounding states as well. I am not over-exaggerating.
An in the current economic cycle, it could bankrupt the Great Lakes region.

Sheer insanity. Canada is the USA’s largest source of oil/energy, and Enbridge is one of the larger pipelines delivering crude into the USA market/midwest. This once again shows the vegetable Biden is controlled by bureaucratic leftist radicals.
Canada is smartly proceeding with expansion its transmountain pipeline to the Pacific.
When neo-marxist USA proves to be an unreliable partner, they can export everything to Asia instead.
You can bet that there is money for the 12 tribes of Michigan somewhere in the deal.
