John Cleese decided to cancel himself and call off a planned appearance at Cambridge University after a fellow attendee was "blacklisted" for doing an impersonation of Adolf Hitler.
Taking to Twitter ahead of his planned appearance, Cleese, who is a Cambridge alumnus, noted that he was getting ahead of being "blacklisted" by calling off his appearance after art historian Andrew Graham-Dixon was blacklisted by Cambridge Union President Keir Bradwell for doing a mocking rant as Hitler to make a point in a debate about whether or not "good taste" exists.
"I was looking forward to talking to students at the Cambridge Union this Friday, but I hear that someone there has been blacklisted for doing an impersonation of Hitler," the 82-year-old "Monty Python" and "Fawlty Towers" comedian noted. "I regret that I did the same on a Monty Python show, so I am blacklisting myself before someone else does."

It seems people today do not understand that humor is a coping mechanism, it may be because we have it too good. People made fun of Hitler during WWII, Saddam Hussein during the Gulf War, Bin Laden after 9/11 etc. Even on Hogan’s Heroes a good portion of the cast was Jewish, John Banner lost the majority of his family in concentration camps.

He should just do a woke tour, and put in an announcement that there will be zero tolerance for woke snowflakes in the audience attending or asking PC questions. All woke and offended people will be beaten and thrown out. Give these woke idiots a taste of their own medicine!
Hollywood ran out Charlie Chaplin for him mocking Hitler, didn't want to offend the Germans so they wouldn't lose access to the lucrative German market.
Now they'll run out anybody who mocks Winnie the Xi and the chicoms, or mentions the slave labor/concentration camps. Things that make you go hmmmm....
