I’m sure I’m quibbling here, but when I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath in the early 90’s, we had a Popeyes right across the street from the dorm. So “technically” it was probably the first Popeyes in the UK, and it had a lot of British customers.

If they are going to try some authentic American cuisine, then no, you don’t change it to accommodate them.
You explain it, and if they don’t like it, they don’t have to come back.

I used to live in Yorkshire and this is one of my favorite skits. It’s close to reality which is why it’s so funny.
The green stuff they’re slopping is “mushy peas”.

That wasn’t a political post, that was a foodie post.
Bad as Joe Biden is, remember that he’s a Com..., er, Democrat. Boris Johnson is what passes for a conservative in the UK. We have a ways to go before we catch up with the UK on the (lack of) quality of our candidates.

I really like their spicy fried chicken, their spicy chicken sandwiches, their green beans are passable, red beans and rice in a pinch, and jambalaya ok when available. Biscuits aren’t bad when hot either.
My usual order is a dozen pieces of spicy chicken. Lasts me several days. Stays crispy when heated up in air fryer.

Lol. “If it’s outside Yorkshire, it’s not worth bloody visiting”
We have some British friends and when the daughter was over one summer my mother made French toast for breakfast. She had never heard/seen it before and loved it...”can we have, uh, ‘soggy bread’ for breakfast again tomorrow?” :)

Just goes to show you that a) the Southern US is really its own country, and b) Britain is a very different country.
I'm a transplant Alabamian but a born Southerner (great-great-grandson of a Confederate veteran, too). I didn't know what a "scone" was until after I graduated college and went on a business trip to a Yankeeland city.

Odd that the company would not have done extensive taste-testing and marketing research before launching a product “foreign” to the location.
