Black youth are 15% of the population, but 6% of the recruits. Non whites are 37% of the total recruits. Meaning whites, and the rest of the ethnicities and identities that are not black or hispanic comprise 63%. Meaning that whites are less represented than in the gen pop. So, 'whites' don't 'see themselves either' when they look at a group of recruits, but see a diverse crowd of any of 100 or so nationalities. And, in general, seem to be more accepting of that than some prima donnas looking for excuses to hate.
