It’s pretty much out in the open now. Antifa, BLM, DC Jail, othering of unvaccinated people, BBB, GND, Great Reset, Soros DAs, Defund the Police, Wokey McWokerson, CRT, etc.
Hidden threat?
Hidden? This has been coming down the pike since the 60’s. It was never hidden. People just refused to recognize it until it was too late.

1. The Soviet Union only reorganized, it didn’t go away. Vladimir Putin is proof of this, as well as Russian foreign policy since Putin ascended.
2. The threat of Communism never went away. In fact it got stronger. The Iraq War protests reformed the movement, and they then got Obama elected.
What's hidden is the real nature of communism. Slick politicians like Bernie Sanders and AOC portray it as kindness and love, taking care of others. Who could be against helping the children? etc. Communism is painted by marxist politicians and media lackeys as all things good, a mixture of sunshine and puppies.
Anyone who has even the slightest sense of history, however, knows that communism isn't any of that. Communism is Stalin's purges with millions murdered and Mao's collectives where tens of millions starved. It's Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge and murderous madmen like Che Guevara in Cuba. Communism is the enforcement of central planning by your betters though ever increasing brutality in the name of the "common good", a common good that always enriches those in power and impoverishes everyone else.
The facts of communism has been whitewashed and erased from the history books. I doubt 1 of 100 could tell you how many people died due to communism in the twentieth century (well over 100 million). If you listen to the authoritarians in the democratic party you'd think gun crime was an epidemic, yet you could add up all the firearms murders by criminals in the 20th century and it wouldn't come close to a fraction of the number of people murdered by communism. Democrats will tell you that the greatest threat to your life is your neighbor owning a gun, history shows the greatest threat to life is being ruled by a communist government.
Most of those who saw communism up close and personal are dead. Those left have no idea of the real horrors of communism thanks to schools that don't teach real history and a news media that peddles outright falsehoods. It's not that communism is being hidden, it's that people don't believe it's true nature. It's the snake that you think you can pet until it bites you in the jugular.

And that’s not even the half of it, either. Based on comments made by Lenin, Trotsky, and even Karl Marx, Communism is essentially a rebranded version of the crap that Voltaire and his friends spewed forth that caused the French Revolution. Heck, Marx himself outright stated in one of his newsletters and private correspondences that the true point of Communism was to create a bloodier remake of Robespierre’s Reign of Terror, and Lenin explicitly compared his Bolsheviks to the Jacobin movement with clear pride (and even went as far as to commission statuaries of French Revolutionary figures before his War Communism bit wrecked said plans). And let’s not forget, those same history books or at least teachers whitewashed the French Revolution as well. The most you get to an actual negative regarding that event was Robespierre’s Reign of Terror. They sing praises for the de-Christianization of France, even have the gall to compare it to the American War of Independence.

Don’t forget the fact that the Tomb of Lenin is still standing instead of demolished and Lenin’s corpse being a new ornament on a lamppost, or for that matter, that Karl Marx’s statue is conveniently still standing at the main square of Moscow, even though HE’S the one who created the ideology that plagued Russia instead of doing to his statue what they did to Stalin and Lenin’s statues nearing the “end” of the USSR.
Maybe we can invite the communists to live in a communist country ….. doing so would make them happy, so perhaps it is time to invite the communists to leave our USA
