Couldn't stop laughing. Had to share this brilliant episode, my favorite so far. The yodeling and the writing was great, too.

Still better than 99% of the “comedy” of today.

WOW! loyalty to the family shown on national TV. "code of the hills"
Amazing even if it was a long time ago.

Does anyone else find that Granny reminds them of Hillary Clinton?

With Eddie Dean, American western singer called the best cowboy singer of all time- by Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. A yodeling policeman in this episode.

I always got a big kick out of Jethro being a “double naught spy” and a “brain surgeon.” The “War Against the Grunyons” was funny too. I liked the episodes where the Clampetts go to Washington DC and Ellie May had four kittens named George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Jefferson Davis where Granny said where the last one can stay.

That show was already in re-runs when I was a kid. Still, it was one of the funniest things on TV.
"Fish out of water" makes for some of the best comedy.

I have to admit to making about 100 gallons of rheumatism medicine in the 80's.
That stuff really works! Felt no pain!
