much of the problems we face as a nation today would go away because those accountable would be held accountable by the media.

The media holds no one accountable! That is not their job. The citizens hold those accountable who need held accountable. The citizens failed way more miserably in holding elected officials accountable than the media failed to report the news.

I would submit to you that the media is the peoples representative in Washington. The media “reports” what is going on in DC and that gives us the information to decide. I do concur that we hold Washington accountable by voting and if that process is corrupt, we are screwed.
