Give me a break.....If Tomlin was White, he’d have lost his job already.
Or Pittsburgh is just really loyal to head coaches, only three head coaches in the last 50+ years.
No he wouldn’t have. Of active coaches with more than 100 games he has the 2nd highest win percentage in the league. Both regular season and playoffs. You don’t fire “not as good as Belichick”. The last couple of seasons the team has been hampered by overpaying Ben, but that’s not on the coach. Just look at their 2nd half comebacks this year, Tomlin’s half time adjustments, with a roster that is mediocre at best, shows his skill. He’s a great coach. Also the Steelers are smart enough to be a patient organization. Cowher went 7-9 3 seasons in a row and they didn’t fire him.
Not in the burgh coaching for the Rooneys.
We had Coach Cower prior to Tomlin and he was the white version of Tomlin {except he spit when he spoke, and Tomlin talks in word salad}.
Both 15 year vets, both won a Superbowl and both were average coaches.
Neither got fired, as the Steelers have only had 3 coaches since 1968, do the math.
Not a single NFL franchise treats it's coaches the way the Steelers have since they hired Chuck Noll {and won four Super Bowls with him as coach}.
I'd have fired Tomlin years ago {nothing to do with color, because I'd have fired Cower way before he quit}, but I don't own the Steelers.
