Most actors are about 5' 10" (if you can believe the internet, Al Pacino is 5' 6"). 5' 8" is no big deal.

I think there is a difference between girly-man Harry Styles and Tom Holland, who just happens to be 5’ 8”. Tom Holland plays a character who is high school age, so the height works to make him appear younger than he is. But the character is also brave and not afraid to fight.
