The drivers in Virginia only needed their Birkenstock sandals to pick at their toes while coming up with more failed Democrat schemes that lead to unplowed major highways.

Others need to call their realtor because you can't live among people who come up with failed Democrat schemes that lead to unplowed major highways.

I tell people to get used to this as it's what happens when Socialists crap all over everything, especially themselves.

Some commentary on windshield washer fluid for you Southerners.

Some years ago, we were driving north out of GA to see family for Christmas in sleet/snowy conditions. Outside temps as measured by my reasonably accurate outside thermometer built into the car were about 23F.

In using my windshield washer fluid to try to keep my windshield clear, the DAMN FLUID WAS ICING UP! This was a major safety PITA.

What I found was that just about all the fluid available at big box and auto parts stores in GA was +20F rated, and it really didn’t even cover that rating. Further north, KY, everything was -20F rated.

From that day forward, I buy all my windshield washer fluid in KY to get the -20F stuff. Bought 4 gallons worth last late-Summer when we were up that way to restock.

My $0.02

Most people don’t even have a real winter coat anymore. Winter coats went out of style quite a while ago, and you won’t see anyone under 40 caught dead in one. Today it’s hoodies.

Some of that has to be attributed to the generally higher reliability of automobiles. My first cars still had carburetors, and winter time was more perilous for reliability, especially for rear-wheel drive vehicles. It was more common to have a breakdown or get stuck in the snow. People now have too much faith in their cars, they confidently go to the store in subfreezing temps in sweat pant bottoms and a hoodie.

Winter coats are what out of style old fools wear, geezers.

Buy onemof, one of, fuzzy hats that northern trappers used to,wear. Sure they loo,,goofy, but wow are they warm, and will, keep, you warm if things go bad. Also keep,a few handwarmer packs,in the vehicle to use in shoes. Toes freeze first. 2
Wool is great to,have as a layer.
Watch out about keeping food in cars,in bear country though.

5hismis where drone delivery would, come in handy if stranded. Lol

Ford will be producing thousands of electric F-150s.

Anything to appease the Biden regime.

I was stuck in it. While on the freeway it was no big deal. Enjoyed a new Vince Flynn novel on audio.

I was able to get off and take surface roads. Back Roads were passable but DOT didn’t even try. There were abandoned cars in the middle of the street that they didn’t even try to move to the side.

Hotels were all full so I pulled into a dark area of a shopping center lot, put on my boots and Carhart jacket and curled up for a good sleep.

It was 28 degrees. Chilly but survivable.

It almost seemed as if Northam called off the crews.

Below the big crash roads were ice. No salt or anything. Saw more abandoned cars there than anywhere else. A few were crashed.

- a Dollar Store bucket with small trash can bags and kitty litter

Line the bucket with trash can bags, place kitty litter in the bottom, and take care of business. Dispose of properly.

This has been a must since March, 2020, when a lot of rest stops, gas stations, and park restrooms closed due to the pandemic.

Also,
Don’t wear socks when you sleep.
Including if you use a layer of mylar in a bag or under a blanket.
Your body warmth will keep you warmer without socks.
