Something I’ve always appreciated about Puzo is that when he was coming up as a writer he often shot off his mouth about how he could write a popular novel anytime he wanted but that he aspired to better things. As time went on and he and his family got no richer someone flung that brag back into his face. Puzo said “Ok” He then took up his pen (or typewriter) and wrote The Godfather. I love it when guys can back up their shit.

I still don't completely understand the plot of III and I've watched it a few times. I usually lose interest and the movie ends up watching me.
