Hispanic. Read the article, mother an obvious immigrant as she does not speak English. Her daughter was afraid to go to work but mother made her so she could learn to work hard and make something of herself. Truly heartbreaking.

This is particularly sad because the girl was doing the right thing, working at a JOB! The street savage who shot her just made it more difficult for people who actually go out to work to continue.
