The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on Highway 1 Monday that ended with a driver falling into the ocean.
According to investigators, big wave surfer Darryl "Flea" Virostko was driving on Highway 1 when he was struck by another car driven by a 40-year-old Santa Cruz woman.
The unidentified woman reportedly got out of her vehicle, crossed the highway and walked toward the cliff overlooking the ocean before she fell into the ocean. Investigators don't know it was an accident or not.
The woman's body was recovered from the ocean by Coast Guard helicopter.

PCH can be deadly...The director of “A Christmas Story” and his son were killed by an illegal alien drunk driver on PCH a few years ago.
Possibly got a good smack to the head and was in an unfortunate state of confusion.
Maybe she intended to crash her car in a suicide attempt, then only ended up having a minor accident, so walked the rest of the way. Or maybe she hit her head and was confused...? I don’t want to make a joke here. Haha.
She probably got out and was talking on her phone, when she took one step too many backwards.
“My original story was that I was so mad she rear ended me that I just picked her up and threw her over the cliff. But, after consulting with my attorney, I have decided that she walked over to the cliff and fell.”

And there are so many people in S. CA, we use to call San Diego south LA, SF, north LA, San Berdo East LA.
I would guess a head injury from the accident caused her to act erratically but who knows? Maybe investigators will find other clues.

Lol. I surfed Steamer Lane the same time Flea was there once. To call him intense is an understatement.
