Looks like they are still available at Amazon. Kindle and paperbacks. I loaned mine out and they are still circulating I suppose.

Thanks. Her book ‘Southern Ladies & Gentlemen’ sounds like fun.
My Grandmother was typical of many old Southern women, and I guess I picked up a lot of it from her.
But one of the most succinct explanations of Southern culture that I’ve heard was from some journalist who wrote that in the South, you could be a murderer and still be accepted in polite society as long as you always remembered to say ‘Ma’am’ and ‘Sir’ :-)
So get our vaccines NOW or your pee pee will fall off.
I'd reverse that: The media are taking things that are thoroughly banal and dressing them up and presenting them to us as though they should be "interesting."
Regards,
I thought it was ‘interesting’ when it was personal to individuals.
But it got really boring when they made it into ‘social movement’ and ‘cause celebre’, and lumped ‘unusual’ people into an ‘identity’ - as if they were all cookie-cutter products.
