Putin could make a show of backing down on Ukraine and Biden could pretend it was because he is so tough, while passing a payoff to Putin’s retirement fund secretly and in unmarked foreign currency, like Obama did with Iran in exchange for Iran’s promise not to go nuclear on his watch.
