I actually considered keeping my iPhone X from 2017 but I wanted full 5G access. Which is great because I’ve seen as high as 850 mbps download speeds on my iPhone 12 on the T-Mobile network.

My 1 Gbps fiber delivers 950 Mbps download to my fast i9 Windows. On the same wire, my S20+ achieves 540 Mbps download. I suspect that is the limit of the platform (CPU/RAM/disk). The 5G delivers 280 Mbps to the same phone. I wouldn't expect a hot 5G to exceed the 540 Mbps that I get on the wired Ethernet/fiber connection.

Your download speed is excellent on the T-Mobile net.
