They need to be punished by their actions and for their actions without our having to personally take part. IMHO
Majority of LEA in Chicago were not supporting Biden.
My Cousin transferred from the Chicago Police Department to a small city in Indiana - his wife is relieved and so is the rest of his family. He is a lot more relaxed.
He is making less money and will have a smaller pension, but the safety is worth it.
All Chicago Ciy officials are Democrats - you would never be hired as a Police Officer in Chicago if you were a registered Republican - and yes they check on your politics during the interview.
When I saw one of the NYPD cops killed was only 22 years old, I assumed he was on the street at such a young age because of the retirements there.
No need to hire replacement Police Officers. Just hire social workers. Problem solved!

Every city run by Demonrats deserves to sink into chaos and anarchy. Even then, the idiot voters will continue to elect more idiots. It’s just what they do.

Not how it will work. Induce a labor shortage. When no new recruits can be found, contact out. Who ya gonna contract out to? The gangbangers, of course. After it is setup, with appropriate kick-backs to the mayor, chief of police, etc., the local extortion and protection business can startup. The “contract police” will control drugs, prostitution, gambling, robbery and burglary. If you have paid your monthly/weekly contract-police fee - no problem.
Why would anyone pledge to protect and serve people who hate you?
It is public knowledge - 49 out 50 Alderman are Democrats - every city worker who is hired has to approved by the Alderman from the Ward the worker lives in.
No Alderman would every approve a Republican for a City job - it is the Chicago Way.
I live in Chicagoland. Born here, raised here and ended up returning here later in life.
I can assure you not all the police are registered Dems or voted Dem. Ever heard of Second City Cops? It was around for years and extremely critical of Chicago politics.
In fact, most people in my neighborhood don’t wear their party affiliation on their shirt sleeve.
I just think it is unreasonable and unfortunate for some to say the police deserve it, stereotyping an entire group of people...There are some very decent officers and residents in Chicago.
