A VFR pilot flying into winter IMC/icing conditions is never a good idea.
Get-there-itis is a killer.
Even a rated and experienced IFR pilot would be reticent to take off in those conditions and circumstances. An early Bonanza with only a basic suite of instruments? Nope.
