S President Joe Biden will phone Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday evening Moscow time, the Kremlin said Friday. The call came after a written request of the White House, and the two leaders are supposed to discuss the current tensions over Ukraine.
“The American side asked for a conversation with President Putin, and it will take place tomorrow evening Moscow time,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Biden left the White House on Friday afternoon for the presidential retreat at Camp David, Maryland. He is supposed to stay there over the weekend.

“Bloomberg reported on Friday that a Russian invasion of Ukraine may happen as soon as Tuesday, citing anonymous sources. The outlet has accidentally broken news of an invasion before and was forced to apologize for the error.
“Any action could start as soon as Tuesday,” Bloomberg reported on Friday afternoon, citing “officials familiar with the matter.” The news site noted that “action” could range from “causing a provocation in the Donbas region” to an assault on the Ukrainian capital of Kiev.

These world leaders have a big problem if they meet Biden in person. Its not always possible to stand or be seated upwind from him. Sudden olfactory nightmares are unbearable.

The Russkies are not going to assault a major city. If the Ukies devide to fight a city fight can get really messy. If they invade it will be to capture territory, destroy, isolate and or capture Ukie units, and fortify the newly acquired land. Turning Kyiv into Stalingrad or even Manila is not gonna happen.
