With these boats they charged $12,000 per person
to bring Cubans that wanted to leave that government
risking their lives...
on a boat like this. Well this isnt a boat, its like a mercedes in the water.
How many people in a boat like this lost their lives?
Left their families
Sacrificed everything in Cuba - they left everything behind
friends, neighborhood, job
To come to this country where we are sitting in now.

Reading the headline at first I thought Mark Cuban must’ve bumped his head.
I went to a museum once (Key West?) about the Cubans who have tried to make it to the U.S. One boat was tiny, really just a rowboat. And Ilian Gonzalez’s mother, among many others, lost her life trying to get here.
For which she was vilified in the media.
Thanks for posting the video! It’s so easy for me to take my American blessings for granted; incredible to see something as simple as a Bass Pro Shops through this couple’s eyes.
I have seen the same thing with the Chinese students who have come to stay at my house.
To be honest, Bass Pro Shops really is pretty impressive even by US standards.
These two... watched their stuff for a while. The chick is a bit of a grifter... was all Cuba is great, Cuba is great when she was there with her man... He, on the other hand, seems to have had a real eye opening and it may be rubbing off on her. His first visit to a pre shortage grocery store was mind blowing for him. She is vacuous except for knowing that his reactions would be noteworthy. His reactions have genuine getting pissed he hasn’t had this before.
