This may be no better than “two weeks to flatten the curve” and is probably just an attempt to call off the border protest at Windsor Ontario.
It brings the total now to at least four provinces with at least some promises of an impending end to mandates, BC has an announcement on Tuesday that may make that five.

You need to listen to the entire speech. He spent 30 seconds saying there were “””plans””” to reduce the mandates.
Then Ford spent more than nine minutes saying how he was laying down the hammer on the truckers.
Let us not get fooled by someone who only clipped the first 30 seconds of his speech.

Note that this is the PROVINCIAL “vax passport”, which allows access to bars, restaurants, gyms, etc. Several provinces are already rescinding these, Ontario’s Doug Ford is just the latest
But the Truckers’ complaint is the NATIONAL “vax mandate” (applies to trucking industry, airline travel, rail travel, etc.) which is controlled by the Federal Government - Trudeau and his Liberals
That’s still in place, with no sign of changing - in fact, Trudeau wants to double down, and make it apply to inter-provincial travel too ... even the US hasn’t gone that far!!
