As an avid metal dectorist I must say that I have found most my silver in the coinstar slot. The weight on the old silver coins is rejected. I have also found silver dollars and a few errors coins as well.

I’m not up to speed on Commemorative Presidential Dollar Coins, but if they were high-silver or other precious metal content they could be worth what he says.
I plan to take up metal detecting when I retire. Right now I watch a weekly show called “The Hoover Boys” every Wednesday. They’re metal detectorists from Maryland, and it looks like they have a great time.
