Most people are ignorant about the value of coins. Twice in the past 5 years I’ve found a silver dime near a coinstar machine. I guess the coinstar machines don’t take silver, or the old dimes weigh more.
The silver dimes are about a quarter of a gram heavier than nickel clad dimes.
As an avid metal dectorist I must say that I have found most my silver in the coinstar slot. The weight on the old silver coins is rejected. I have also found silver dollars and a few errors coins as well.
