I have a different problem. I downloaded the app on my iphone, went through the signup, entered my birth date and email.
I was told it had just sent a confirmation email - but it never arrived.
I tried a few times with the same result.
Look in your junk e-mail folder.

That happened with me with my gmail email on I forgot what app (Trump related).
Tried several times over a few days, nothing. Then I tried my protonmail.com email, received it the first try.
GMAIL was blocking it.
