Jerry Smith, the athletic director at St. Thomas Aquinas, received one of the cruelest phone calls of his life at 11:30 Thursday morning.
Brian Meeney, head football coach at his school and a man who’d long regarded Smith as somewhat of a father figure, died this morning at the age of 46. As Meeney’s brother told Smith, it was the result of a massive heart attack en route to school. No arrangements have yet been announced.
Meeney, who had a particular knack for reviving flagging programs, guided St. Thomas to an undefeated regular season this past fall and an overall record of 9-1 in his third season. The Trojans won four games in each of the previous three seasons and were 2-8 in 2017.
“We’ve had a great relationship for a long time,” Smith said. They’d first met when Meeney was a football player at Iselin Kennedy in the early 1990s and Smith was an assistant coach.
“I’m like the father figure he never had in his life. We had our arguments, but we always had our love,” he said.
An hour and a half after that phone call, Smith made his saddest speech ever when he summoned the football squad to the school auditorium.
“My voice was cracking, I was in tears. You could not believe how these kids responded, with screams and tears and just disbelief. It was devastating. Their grief was just so overwhelming,” Smith said. “So bad we wound up canceling all sports after school today.”
There were only nine football players in the building when Smith became AD four years ago, but 17 athletes with football in their plans entered as freshmen three years ago, Meeney’s first. Meeney had previously coached over a span of 16 years at Newark East Side,

Another 46 year old dying of a massive heart attack-—totally normal. Hey, maybe I’m simply reading more of these stories because they’re making the front page or maybe I’m reading them NOW because I want to know the truth if it’s “coincidence” or the vaccine...
I guess we’ll never really know.....
I feel sorry for those who were forced to get vaxed to remain employed. They will forever question and any unusual health symptom and wonder if it is due to the shot and what impact it will have on them. The people who pushed this travesty on society should all be dead.

No, but being a school teacher in NJ, you were pretty much “forced” into getting vaccinated. My anti-vaxx friend reluctantly got her vaccine as she is a teacher in NJ.
My guess is he did.....but I have no proof.
Our small church is having one funeral a week this last month plus serious illnesses. The latest were a forty year old who died unexpectedly and another forty year old is in intensive care with kidney and liver failure, unexpectedly.
....no info on his health status...no info on vaxx status..premature to be pinning his sad death on vaxx or not...Pete Maravich died suddenly at age 40 in a pick up bball game...post mortem revealed congenital anamolous cardiac tissue blood supply.....way before the vaxx,.lots of “suddenly” dying being reported lately...does make one wonder..hmmmm..

There’s no upper limit, apparently. The powers that be refuse to abandon their narrative that the mRNA vaxxes are safe and effective, despite all evidence to the contrary.
Mid 40s and early 50s are prime heart attack times for men.
At the same time you have to consider the fact that in college athletics they made everybody get vaxxed. So it’s a guarantee the guy got the JAB.
Bet on it. You will never in your life get better betting odds.
He was also at prime heart attack age. So there’s no way of knowing whether the job was the cause. But I will give you $100 to a dime that he had the Jab.
