“ Did you forget the sarc on that post?”

Don’t need it. 100% of what I say online is deeply rooted in either obscure references, irony, or over the top sarcasm. It would be exhausting placing a /sarc reference at the end of every sentence

I can dig it. But many might not know how Tina Fey got her big start.

It’s real easy to write /s, instead of helping to perpetuate a myth.

Palin said that Russia can be seen from some points in Alaska, and that’s true.

(You can even swim between points in Alaska and Russia.)

Sarcasm is no way to go through life.

Chances are you know that or maybe you don’t. In any event, it is overused in today’s society.

Satire is much more high-minded than sarcasm. Commentary intended as satire is more intricately constructed. It challenges its readers, forcing them to question their own thought processes. It’s like a mental puzzle, satisfying to solve, with the extra added gift of training the mind to spot deception, psy-ops, gaslighting, calumny, etc., so often used by villainous people to advance their narrow agendas, or unfairly to tear down those they (in their childish way of thinking) perceive to be their political or social enemies.

A “/s” would have helped this reformed sarcastic and natural Palin suppoter interpret your comment.

There are those who see Palin as a threat who deceitfully make the comment you made for no other reason than to belittle Palin and try to induce others to discount, or dismiss out of hand, whatever objectively thoughtful, clever, foresighted, insightful or incisive thing she is currently saying, as the rantings of a gravitas-free moron that everyone can safely ignore.

You appear to have confirmed that you wanted others to interpret your comment as pure sarcasm.

For the Palin fans among us, loathe to stand by quietly and allow her childish detractors to get away scot free with still more cruel character assassination she totally doesn’t deserve, the use of the signal “/s” in this instance would have helped us instantly distinguish you from that small and pathetic band of Palin-hating punks who wouldn’t know class or patriotism or Christian charity if any one of the three were to fall off a shelf and klunk them in the head.
