Sheena Greitens stands by allegations of abuse against her ex-husband

Greitens released a written statement Tuesday after her ex-husband, former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, alleged she had been working with his political enemies to undermine his campaign for U.S. Senate.

The accusations are included in a sworn affidavit she filed as part of an ongoing child custody dispute.

“I stand by my sworn statements,” she said. “I did not discuss the contents of my affidavit with anyone other than my counsel and, after the affidavit was filed, my immediate family.”

Her only interest, she wrote, was “what’s best for my two children, and for the last four years, I have gone to great lengths to keep these family matters private to protect them. I am not interested in litigating this matter anywhere other than a courtroom. At the appropriate time in the legal process, I will provide whatever evidence and documentation the court requests, including testimony under oath.”

[...]

On Monday, a 41-page affidavit she filed became public that accuses Eric Greitens of “unstable and coercive” behavior, including physical violence to their children. She described numerous acts of violence, and said Eric Greitens became so unstable in the months before his resignation as governor in 2018 that his access to firearms had to be limited.

Time to wake up and pick a better candidate. For those eager to claim it isn't true, remember Greitens resigned (he's a quitter, not a fighter) after similar accusations by his mistress (he cheats on his wife).

This is going to go over like a fart in Church, for former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens’ political career.

This is the best Republican candidate the State of Missouri can come up with, I guess.

Agreed...there are other decent candidates for what should be an easily winnable race in this current political climate - don't want to throw it away like was done with Todd Akin (Claire McCaskill's hand selected opponent).

He was also a democrat for all of his career until 2015 when it became convenient to switch parties.

He comes on Steve Bannon’s show and talks a good game but has way too much baggage.

He converted from demoKKKrat to RINO. Best he takes a beating from this. There are other candidates who could win in this socialist/communist/Marxist/greenie/leftist/eco-wacko/fascist society we’re now in, for another 3yrs.

I wonder if McConnell is involved hidden in the dark to fund, encourage, assist in this. Greitens was the first to announce he would not vote for McConnell, if elected. McConnell is well known for shriving people who would not be on his team even to the point of willing to have a Commie-Rat take a seat rather than a conservative who is not on the take.

Don't follow him , but didn't he resign because of false "Russian Collusion" type campaign by Soros DA, Kim Gardner?

Fake charges regarding a former mistress?

Why isn't Gardner in jail?

Oh, she's a Democrat. I see.

Other than that, I know nothing about this issue.

At this point in corruption that is running our government... corruption and lying and war and prices going thru the roof.. and empty shelves... and feeling like the country is going to hill in a handbasket...

I don’t care what that man did some years ago...and women are not free of double cross...

She is doing this to get back at him for??? money? sons? anger? just leave the dirt in the house... and get this country back to where it should be.

I’m so tired of the illegal.. corrupt... the dems are pulling off... so worn out with them... I just don’t have time for a woman trying to get even with her husband after it’s been settled and she is free to go live her life....

I’m no fan of McConnell, but someone like this has no business running for the U.S. Senate. Who does he plan to vote for? It’s not like there’s another GOP Senator who has mounted a leadership challenge to McConnell.

Better to just keep your mouth shut rather than open it and make amateur mistakes like this.

Todd Akin made mistakes of a different order; he needed to leave the Senate race or McAskill would get elected. And that’s exactly what happened with him and what will happen with Greitens if he stays in the race and gets the nomination. That’s why I am giving money to JD Vance in Ohio - the others in the race had their chance, they botched it, and they don’t deserve to lose us another Senate seat.

Problem with, #BelieveAllWomen is, any divorced woman who thinks her ex is an ahole or for that matter, any married woman who thinks their husband is an ahole won’t vote for Greitens due to this. Neither will the very conservative Christians we have here in MO and we do have more than a few.

I am no longer a Missouri voter but I do have an opinion. This guy is flawed at his core and is now just 200 pounds of ambitIon.

I did not know he was in a divorce with his wife/ex-wife.

What an a-hole to run for office with that lingering.

Forget him.
