A 14-year-old boy has died after falling from a 430-foot-tall thrill ride at an amusement park in Orlando, CBS Miami reports.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office says they received 911 calls about an emergency at the "Orlando Free Fall" at ICON Park just after 11 p.m. on Thursday night after witnesses reported seeing a person fall from the ride to the ground.

It’s amazing thougnthag out-of the billions of people taking rides all over the world, billions and billion sof times over the decades, thwt only a relatively very few tragedies happen, though I’m sure more injuries that aren’t reported do,happen all the time. Heck i injure myself stepping down off the scale- can’t imagine hoe,many muscles would be hurting taking a ride at 60 mph on a rickety wooden or even metal framed roller coaster. I’d be in traction after the ride lol

looks like he fell roughly 30 feet. the thing was on it’s way down when he fell out. not sure how that happened unless he did it somehow on purpose?
He fell on the way down, when the brakes are applied suddenly at the end of the free fall...........Looked like about 50 -60 feet............
Pretty clear that the seat restraint failed half way down as it dropped. The park is screwed.

In the video I saw, the workers were just standing around after it happened. One was on his phone. I didn’t see anyone try to help the kid.
