Reminds me of the 3 slabs of rock with spiral behind them found in Chaco Canyon, in NM. It predicted precisely the Spring and Fall Equinox (Vernal & Autumnal) and the Solstices (Summer & Winter).
Still works.
Last I heard it is not possible to see any more, they closed the site because of vandalism.

If the "carefully placed" towers enabled this ancient civilization to predict the time of year within two or three days, how did they previously predict the time of year accurately within two or three days to know where to carefully place and build the towers that would enable them to predict the time of year within two or three days?
It's the old chicken vs. egg dilemma

Very cool. First time I’ve heard of this, which surprises me a little.
I wonder how far the observation points are from the row of towers? Would be interesting to see an aerial view showing both.

Thank you. I have been studying that area and valley for quite awhile now mapping ruins. There was a huge complex and populated community up and down that valley. Much bigger than assumed. Almost as large as the Lake Titicaca area.

Interesting, but unsurprising.
We know even less about the much, MUCH earlier megalith civilization(s) which appear to span multiple continents.
