This could easily be not only a test of the “anti-drone” capability on the ship, but also the “covert drone” technology of the US. After it was obvious that the covert drone wasn’t detected, they even turned on the lights to make sure it was detected. Even then it couldn’t be influenced.
Show me all-spectrum EM,radio, IR,Thermal, visual imagery and combined plotting data etc. Surely our warships have these tools “on” at nearly all times. But either this is the grandest of conspiracies or BS.

Why would UFOs appear as balls of light. You would think they would try not to draw attention to themselves and would no have lights of any kind.
Just “Great Balls of Fire”.
And didn’t try to shoot it down? Find that hard to believe.

I believe in UFOs, I’ve SEEN one! Along with HUNDREDS of other people at the same time. YUGE! Silent. Many lights in triangle patterns. In fact I thought it to be many much smaller individual crafts until it rotated as one unit. Then its size (YUGE) became clear. Its closeness to the ground became apparent. It headed off to the south at a slow speed and was visible for a number of minutes.
Ya know, Blimp/Weather balloon. Except no one had any blimps/weather balloons in the area.
It even made the local Binghamton (12) TV news!
