I read somewhere a couple of years ago about how relatively fast our knowledge about physics or anything else can changed.
The analogy was, take 3 things, like a Nuclear Reactor, F-22 Jet Fighter or something we all take for granted like a Iphone back to 1776 at the founding of the USA, scientists back then would have no concept of what they were or how to utilize them, given their understanding of physics, that was less than 250 years ago, imagine what the next 250 years will hold and then think about the next 1000 years...
“I read somewhere a couple of years ago about how relatively fast our knowledge about physics or anything else can change.”
Yep, absolutely true. What we take for granted now would have been considered as “physically impossible” back then. Yet we have learned nothing from this history and reality. These firewalls retard our own discovery and advancement of knowledge with this limited perspective and limited scope of possibilities.
