STAY IN YOUR CAR! DON'T GET OUT OF YOUR CAR!But maybe not at the ones in
It does not appear that one other person here read the story.
“police said “it does not appear the car wash had been activated at the time of the collision.””
It sounds like the guy left his car running in gear, and the car moved.... Crushing him.
In the early 90’s I worked for a company that handled cars coming in from Japan. The cars were coated with Cosmoline to prevent corrosion while at sea on the ship and a standard task was to run the cars through a special car wash to rinse off this gooey substance.
The workers would drive the car up to the entrance and allow the front tire to become engaged by the chain mechanism, then step out of the car after the vehicle started moving. We would walk around the building and pick up the vehicle on the other side of the wash.
The reason we didn’t ride through the car wash was because the rinse was 160-180 degrees when applied and far too hot to be a passenger inside while going through the wash.
Surprisingly dangerous work.
