A 13-year-old boy from Minnesota will soon earn his bachelor's degree from college - with a major in physics and a minor in math - and has been accepted into the University of Minnesota's Physics PhD program.
Now his parents are trying to figure out how to pay for it.
Elliott Tanner, known as a profoundly gifted child, is maintaining a 3.78 grade point average at the University of Minnesota and is participating in undergraduate research while also tutoring classmates.
He wants to be a high-energy theoretical physicist and eventually a professor of physics at the university, however, tuition costs for the graduate program have been an obstacle, his mother, Michelle Tanner, said.

Actually most programs will open their doors to him. PhD programs in particular

“’We were shocked to discover the university did not extend a financial package to Elliott,’ she added.
‘Only 3 percent of incoming physics PhD students in the US do not receive a tuition waiver and/or financial package, so we never imagined that we would be scrambling to fund Elliott’s education at 13 years old.’ “
Minnesota has a decent physics program but they need to look out of state.

I agree. The prestige and publicity they would get by having someone like him in their program would probably offset the cost of giving him a free ride.

How has he been able to withstand the woke and commie indoctrination? And if he’s a genius, maybe he can tell us why Rat/RINOs constantly demand free taxpayer funded tuition yet never ask why these Colleges price gouge it. Oh that’s right, paying these College Presidents millions of dollars like C.L. Max Nikias of the University of Southern Mexifornia $7 million a year is more important.
It seems to me that he could easily obtain something an AA in accounting and work as a part-time accountant while working through college.
He should just sign on for a network sitcom.
Homeschooling? My granddaughter is 2 and a half and is doing math, knows all her numbers and is beginning reading. Also knows world geography. Have a video of my daughter calling out countries, and she points to them. She had trouble with Egypt. So my daughter gave a clue “north west africa” bingo she got it immediately. She’s now a second generation homeschooled child.
Take out a loan and then have POTUS Harris forgive it in a few years time.

Duh... Take out a student loan and then don’t pay it back. Everybody else is getting away with it.
Egypt is Northeast Africa. Morocco would be Northwest Africa.
