Read Wray’s biography on Wikipedia. It reeks of being a pure establishment insider. Anyone who looked at the bio should have understood what they were getting. The fact the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmed him unanimously and his nomination was approved by the Senate by a 92 to 5 vote is another strong indication he was, and is, part of the inner circle. He even worked for James Comey at the Justice Department.
Appointing DOJ, and prestige law firm attorneys (Wray, Meuller, Comey) is not going to clean up a corrupt law enforcement organization. If the FBI is to regain its reputation as a non-partisan, professional law enforcement organization it needs a law enforcement professional with a stellar reputation to go in and clean up the place.
Trump was told who the Senate would confirm. He could have nominated Jesus and they would not have approved him because he wasn’t corrupt establishment.
You can’t clean up an agency founded in corruption.
Hoover wanted his own protection racket. That’s what he created. A queer who wanted control of the government.
That’s what he got. That’s what they do. Law enforcement is peripheral.
