I always remembered a program that explained how we pronounce his name incorrectly.

It’s not “Tuten-Kamen”.

Its “Tux-Ankh-Amun”.

Typical westerners getting it wrong just to make it easier for ourselves.

You’re right - we should go back 8,000 years and correct the mistakes of the past. The Sumerians did it, the Hitites did it, Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks and Romans all did it too

Typical westerners may get the pronunciation wrong, but it is they who preserved these artifacts in the first place. For example, see how well Napoleon's men preserved Egyptian artifacts vs how callously the Egyptian Pashas treated the monuments.
