No, now I gonna have nightmares.
Seems to me, the picture is not consistent with the theme of Sports Illustrated. SI highlights the best athletes and athletic performance. But on the other hand, there’s always Sumo Wrestling.
I was unfortunate enough to have glanced at the cover of the SI Swimsuit issue.
That woman is a fat pig.
I’m curious to see how many copies are actually sold. I lost interest in this pictorial a while back when they started with the woke BS and putting spreads of nasty things in it.
Many men like such women. More power to them. She’s nasty looking, IMO.
Props to SI for being brave and actually selecting a female.
Peterson has never had Sports Illustrated present him as the picture of beauty.
Howard Cosell never pretended to be a middle linebacker either, but he certainly commented on the performance of those paid to do the job.
If your a fan of Peterson like myself you may get a laugh out of this..

I am as well. His comment is spot-on: more purposeful, top-down, politically-inspired manipulation and destruction of standards.
He is certainly used to vitriol, but I imagine he realized - there is a specific young woman at the other end of his comments. She certainly put herself forward and made herself a public participant, but he almost always directs his fire away from individuals (except high-level political actors)
I think you hit the nail on the head.
1. Pretty woman but not really magazine cover-worthy.
2. Ugly swimsuit - would not look good on anyone.
3. Boring/dull photograph composition.
It all adds up to one big “meh.”
Are there any Slim Aarons/Francesco Scavullo/Richard Avedon level photographers and good stylists left in the world?
Hey, Maya Musk is hot!
They also have a model with a ceserean section scar, gasp! I’ll be so glad when all the “firsts” are over with.
I get this magazine for our waiting room but have always thrown this one out. Skinny, obese, famous or whatever, its way too much naked for a public waiting room.
Well. This is what NORMAL people would say. This is what I would say. This is what I thought when I saw that cover yesterday.
There is nothing wrong with accepting someone as they are for what they are as a person. It is another thing for being forced to mouth the lines "That obese woman is the pinnacle of female perfection" as if it were something you would believe without a gun of some kind being held to your head.
I would have no problem associating with, being friends with, working with, or being in love with if that were my choice. No problem at all.
But if someone tries to make me say aloud "That is the standard of female beauty from my perspective as a man", well...I won't say it. I won't lie. I won't say she is ugly, bad, or anything like that. Just not a female I find attractive.
To the Left...that is ThoughtCrime. And they can't have that.
Thanks
That's an important tangent. I don't know what SI claims for circulation, but its likely miniscule or fake. Magazines are a dead media, or one only might make money from selling cheap adverts. I literally know NO ONE under 40 who subscribes to any mailed magazine service.
But SI, like Time and Newsweek, is an old brand-name, with propaganda value. Someone is keeping them alive, for some woke political purpose, even though they are worth basically nothing.
😂
Too funny.
His brilliant mind is brutally honest and UNwoke. No filter.
Probably as many copies as Hildebeast’s book.
I have to disagree with you on this, PGR88.
The fact that so many of us, myself included, don’t call out this absurdity is the reason these people feel empowered to viciously go after a sane person who DOES call it out, and rightly so.
Dr. Jordan Peterson is a remarkable man. I have an enormous amount of respect for him. I stand behind him 100%.
We need more of US to be like HIM.
Brilliant. Just brilliant post, dfwgator...made me grin.
The left insist we bend reality.
Either we’ve been reading this wrong or someone changed the script on us.
There should be a pause, 5 minutes, before the tweet gets published.. this was probably not a great tweet, even if I agree with him.
