The actual Sars-Cov-2 whole virus in our body gives us this, which really means we need to get the infection out of us, as soon as possible.
Anyone who is actively infected can spread the virus, and for young people, vaccinated people and older adults with good immune systems that also didn't know they had COVID-19, they may be more inclined to have had the virus and not know they had it, meaning they may have wound up being more exposed to the amyloid issue than they realize, until their bodies eliminated it.
On its face, getting rid of the virus should stop the amyloid problem. Unfortunately, the world will continue to get rounds of new Sars-Cov-2 as it continues to mutate, so we might all have many more amyloid creation options ahead of us.
On the positive side, amyloids are not destructive like prions, which nearly magically create a terrible cascade of new prions, within us.
